A palladium-catalyzed, norbornene- and norbornadiene-mediated Catellani-type annulation reaction of haloarenes with 2-halomandelic acids prepared 9-fluorenones and phenanthrenes, respectively. Theoretical investigations suggest that, within the norbornene-engaged cascades, more reactive 2-(2-bromophenyl)-2-oxoacetic acid was generated and participated in ensuing transformations. In contrast, for processes mediated by norbornadiene, 2-bromomandelic acid was converted into its dipotassium salt to participate in the following cascade.ACS Publications展开收起保存 引用 相关文章 所有 2 个版本
