We read with great interest the study by Ribas-Latre et al.[1] exploring the role of KLK7 in visceral adipose tissue inflammation in obesity. Using a macrophage-specific KLK7 knockout mouse model and human adipose tissue data, the authors provide compelling evidence that KLK7 promotes immune cell infiltration and pro-inflammatory polarization, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target for metabolic inflammation.
