High-volumetric-capacity and long-lifetime aqueous organic redox flow batteries (AORFBs) have received considerable attention for electrochemical energy storage. Here, we report a six-electron transfer π-conjugated heteroaromatic hexaazatrinaphthalene tricarboxylic acid (HATNTA) as a promising anolyte for AORFBs.
