γ-Carboline scaffolds are key structural motifs in various natural products and pharmaceuticals. Herein, we report a novel visible-light-driven, Rose Bengal-catalyzed radical cascade cyclization of N-acryloylindole-3-carboxamides with sulfinates for the synthesis of γ-carboline derivatives.
